Local Storage Data: By default, Science Playground stores your learning progress (XP, achievements, streak data) locally on your device using browser localStorage. This data never leaves your device unless you choose to create an account.

Account Data (Optional): If you choose to create an account to sync progress across devices, we collect:

• Display name (optional)
• Learning progress and achievements

Usage Analytics: We may collect anonymous usage statistics to improve our educational content, including which experiments are most popular and general engagement patterns. This data is aggregated and cannot identify individual users.

Science Playground is designed for children ages 5-12 and their families. We take children's privacy seriously:

• Account creation for users under 13 requires a parent or guardian's email address
